Haikyu!! creator Haruichi Furudate drew a new illustration for the first collaboration with the Haruko tournament for the first time in 7 years.
Haikyu!! is teaming up with Japan’s Spring High Volleyball tournament for the first time in seven years, with series creator Haruichi Furudate drawing a new illustration for the collaboration. The franchise has HAIKYU!! the Movie: VS The Little Giant anime film and the special anime HAIKYU!! Where Monsters Go both set to release in 2027. The new partnership marks the series’ first collaboration with the tournament since 2020. The newly drawn artwork was first introduced during Jump PRESS (where Nue’s Exorcist announced an anime adaptation) before being shared on the official Haikyu!! X account. The illustration features Hinata Shoyo, and you can check out the full version below.
Spring High Volleyball, commonly known in Japan as “Haruko,” is the country’s national high school volleyball championship. Teams that qualify from across Japan compete for the national title, making the event a natural fit for Haikyu!! and its focus on high school volleyball.
The official Haikyu!! account also added that it hopes Furudate’s illustration can help add to the excitement for the players competing at Spring High.
