Horror manga set in village with strange tradition
Manga creator Shiro Yoshida launched a new manga titled Kemonogari (Hunting Animals) manga on DeNA 's Manga Box app on Sunday.
The "panic-in-closed-village horror" manga is set in a village named Habaki, which has a strange custom that grants the head of the village supreme authority. The story centers on Akira Sasaki, the second son of the family that leads the village. In the coming new year, Akira's older brother, the eldest son Hikaru, will undergo the ceremony that will make him the next village chief. Akira decides to use the ceremony as an opportunity to ask his childhood friend and crush Kotori Karino to leave the village with him. Meanwhile, in the mountain neighboring Habaki, two men go missing. The village remains preoccupied with preparations for the ceremony. On the day of the ceremony, Hikaru takes the mask signifying his ascent as village chief, and prepares to make his speech, when a strange creature appears.
Haro Aso ( Alice in Borderland ) and Shirō Yoshida launched the Noyu Girl (Natural Hot Spring Girl) manga on the Yawaraka Spirits web manga site in August 2021, and ended it in August 2022. Shogakukan published three compiled book volumes for the manga.
