PRIVACY POLICY — Guitar Tuner Last updated: July 8, 2026 Guitar Tuner is a free mobile app. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We designed Guitar Tuner to need as little of your data as possible — there are no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. 1. OVERVIEW Guitar Tuner does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. Your settings live only on your device. The only data that leaves the app is what Google AdMob needs to serve ads. 2. MICROPHONE Guitar Tuner uses your device's microphone for one purpose only: detecting the pitch of the note you are playing so the tuner can show how sharp or flat you are. All audio is processed on your device in real time and is immediately discarded. Audio is NEVER recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere, and the microphone is only active while the tuner screen is open. You can revoke the microphone permission at any time in your device settings (the tuner cannot work without it). 3. INFORMATION WE HANDLE Stored on your device (not sent to us): your selected tuning preset and app settings. This is removed when you uninstall the app. Collected automatically by our advertising provider: - Advertising identifiers (e.g. Google Advertising ID), device information (model, OS version, language, coarse region), IP address, and ad-interaction data — used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or precise location, we run no analytics of our own, and we do not operate our own tracking servers. 4. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB) Guitar Tuner displays banner and occasional interstitial ads through Google AdMob. Ads are timed so they never interrupt you while you are actively tuning. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we show Google's consent request the first time you open the app, letting you choose between personalized and non-personalized ads. You can change this any time from Settings -> Privacy options inside the app, or limit ad personalization at the device level (Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android). CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Guitar Tuner is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS Depending on where you live (e.g. under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we store no personal data on our own servers, you can exercise the main controls directly: - Change ad consent: Settings -> Privacy options in the app. - Microphone: revoke the permission in your device settings. - Delete local data: uninstalling the app removes all settings. - Ad identifier: reset or opt out via your device settings. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY App settings live on your device until you uninstall. Data handled by Google AdMob is retained per Google's policies. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but industry-standard safeguards are used. 9.
